HANDICRAFTS DAYS
The Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat de la Haute-Corse decided to promote manual trades by organising "Handicrafts Days" at the convent of Sant'Angelo de Bastia, and at the Centre de Formation des Apprentis (Apprenticeship Training Centre) in Furiani.
The main purpose of these days was to make young people more aware of the diversity of the different trades as well as of the career and employment possibilities that they offer.
The EEIG, "Artisanat Transfrontalier", contributed to this initiative by inviting a company from Livorno, Caterina Zucchi's STUDIOZERO - VETRO, specialised in the production of Murano glass jewellery.
Demonstrations of her know-how were greatly appreciated by visitors.
